I do believe
the most of me
floats under water.
And men see
above the wave,
a jagged, small
mountain of ice
and that is all.
Only the depths
of other peaks -
may know my substance
when it speaks
and steadfast
through the grinding jam
remain aware of what I am.
Myself I think
shall never know -
how far beneath the wave I go.

THee has, indeed great depth... the difference between thee and an iceberg, I think, is that as an iceberg melts, the same percent remains above and below until there is nothing left, I think, as thee gones on, thee grows, not melts, and more that is under the serface will apear.
Thine in the light

PS Not to mention, that which is above the serface is not at all cold... I don't think many of thy fFriends whould think of thee as an iceberg... at either poles of thy emotions... =)
I need a spell check! That should read, "as thee goes on", not "gones" two "p" s in appear? Well the more I gones on, the wuser I spell...
Melting away as the winter draws niegh...

I guess that Edna St. Vincent Millay is somewhat out of fashion with modern day poets, but I enjoy her work.
