Update on the brain!

So, I am tumour-free! It turns out that I had a very small (not arterial) blood vessel pop during a migraine, but the bleed stopped itself and is being reabsorbed with no sign of neurological damage. I'm on a few meds to control future migraines, etc, but this seems to be one time thing, and it's fine. It was a very scary few weeks while people figured out what had happened in there, but I wanted to thank you all very much for your prayers.

Good news Amanda, I'm very relieved for you.

Now you can trip over your shoelaces and forget things in peace again ;)

Hope the migraine pills work well too.

Hi Amanda, Oh good. My prayer list has been growing too fast this summer and I'm very relieved that I won't have to add you to the list. Well, at least for hospital prayers, yes shoelace avoidance prayers can keep flowing (did I miss a story somewhere, oh well).
Your Friend,
Martin

I suffer from migraines too, I'm sorry this migraine caused you so much stress! Glad to hear all is well and no tumors!

It may have spent itself by the time it reached Boston, but if you felt a sudden, inexplicable breeze........it was the exhalation of a long held breath that had its origin in Illinois.
I am sincerely relieved.

Hi there, I am very happy for you, and very relieved also; not as much as you, of course. Now for a good remaining summer!
Much love and blessings from NC,
Michaela, Paul and kids
P.S. Want a pic of the baby?

Amanda,
Been reading your blog off and on for some time. So glad to hear you've gotten this reprieve!

I've BTDT with melanoma myself.
