I am dancing on air after having read the first few exquisitely sensitive, insightful posts on a brand new "Urban Quaker" blog (are we witnessing the birth of a genre?), Consider the Lilies by a Boston friend, Rob.
He is a tremendously gifted writer, and I can't wait to see what he's going to write next. Go read his blog. Now.

You and ruthie-annie are rapidly becoming my best sources of leads to interesting blogs and particularly Quaker blogs. I feel irrestibly compelled to put a link to "Consider the Lilies" on Brooklyn Quaker and will do so before the day is out.
I have to wonder what this growing web of interconneted holy fool bloggers is destined to become. Some kind of community? An outpost of the kingdom of heaven? Just another fad? God knows.
What a kind thing to say, Amanda. I approached blogging with just a toe in the water at first, and have been rewarded with so much encouragement. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It was a pleasure and an honor to meet you this past Sunday in New York.
